Dr. Anton Beetge B.D.S. (Wits)

Dental Surgeon

Dr. Anton Beetge qualified from the University of Witwatersrand in 2013. In his final year of study he won the Johnson & Johnson prize for Oral Medicine and Periodontology as well as the SADA Medal for outstanding leadership qualities.

Dr. Anton spent 2014 working at the rural Rietvlei Hospital in Umzimkhulu KZN, where he provided primary care to the surrounding villages and performed many hours of oral surgery. Dr. Anton has been in private practice since 2015 and bought the practice he was working in from Dr. Cosma Giannakopoulos in 2016.

He has a keen interest in oral surgery including surgical extraction of wisdom teeth and implants and has completed post-graduate training in oral implantology at the University of Pretoria.

Dr. Anton makes it his goal to deliver the highest quality of care to all of his patients, and to ensure that their dental experience a positive one.

Dr Anton is a devoted disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ, and serves as one of the non-vocational pastors of the Brackenhurst Baptist Church

Tanya Gomes Da Camara Dip. Oral Hygiene (Wits)

Oral Hygienist

Tanya Gomes Da Camara qualified from the University of Witwatersrand as an Oral Hygienist in 2009 and has extensive experience in her field, having worked at specialist prosthodontic practices where she was involved in treatment of patients having undergone surgical reconstructions after cancer, trauma, and other events which severely affect oral health.
She has been working at Family Dental Centre since 2020. She takes pride in her work and is skilled at Whitening and sealants in addition to professional cleans.

She describes herself as “a proud mommy to a super cute boy, a plaque and calculus remover to survive and a traveller at heart”
